In addition, a 1.6-liter (115 PS) engine and a 1.5-liter "high-mecha" twin-cam (100 PS) were available. High-grade models with the 4A-G engine also offered a super strut suspension and a helical limited slip differential (LSD). A 6-speed manual transmission was also made available in a minor model change in 1997.
Because of the diminishing size of the coupé market, production of the Trueno was discontinued at the end of the model generation in August 2000.
